O U T F I T S // Denim + Disco Pants

Today a few friends and I went to Queen Street to take photos of street style for a photography assignment, because - fuck yeah - it's almost summer! Who knew walking up to someone and asking to take their photo because their style was amazing would be difficult? Most were nice enough to say yes, a few were excited and flattered. But the ones who said no were actually pretty rude about it (well, by my polite, Canadian  upbringing standards)

*weird look* "Um... No."

*without stopping or making eye contact* "Not interested."

With those ones, I took a picture of their back anyways, just for my own amusement. Obviously I won't be using those for my assignment, but they're still in my camera, ha.

Unfortunately, I can't upload the photos I was given permission to take in good conscious, because I didn't take down their info to credit them with, seeing as my assignment is a quick presentation to my photography prof.

OUTFITS // 90's Throwback

I was supposed to go out with a few friends to take pictures of Torontonians outfits for our magazine editorial class, but plans had to change (coughbabysittingcough), so I'm at home instead, watching Fresh Prince of Bel-Air on netflix with my kid brother. I adore the style in the show, so I decided to put together a 90's inspired outfit, complete with the double buns I seem to wear often while I grow out my hair.

O O T D // Casual Neon

Toronto's spring weather isn't exactly very spring-like this year, but my allergies can't seem to tell the difference. So my ankles and wrists are the only parts of my body i'm willing to bare... scandalous. I should also probably be doing assignments instead of going out, but procrastination is one of my oldest friends.

O U T F I T S | Weekend Wear

This weekend is looking dreary, so shorts are an obvious no-go (*sob*). Because of this, I have decided to put together a couple of outfits for when the weather turns nice, and I don't have to destroy my closet in search of an outfit for a last-minute BBQ or Kensington Market raid.

Shorts: Levi, thrifted

Sunglasses: H&M

Turquoise Cuff: Kensington Market
Necklace: thrifted

I absolutely love the Ankh I purchased at my local thrift store a few weekends ago. It's made from real silver, and sports a black stone in the middle. I did some research on it, and the Ankh symbolises eternal life.  Egyption Gods are often seen holding an Ankh to someone's lips as it's seen as an offering of "The Breath of Life", the breath you will need in the afterlife. Coool.

The fringe on the shirt go down to roughly mid-calf. If my butt wasn't as big as it is, it would probably go down a couple more inches. damn.

P.S the tutorial I watched over a year ago to learn how to properly rip jeans is here.

H O M E | Clothes Haul

I went on a very mini shopping spree yesterday, mostly in preparation of spring - which seems to be taking it's sweet time.
